The Petal Ecosystem

The Petal ecosystem of offers a series of modular, stackable development boards that can be combined to quickly create prototype products for development, testing and rapid deployment.

Streamline the development process by using target hardware from the start, enabling developers to perform accurate power profiling and seamlessly transition firmware from prototyping to mass production.

The Petal ecosystem contains building blocks that can be used to quickly create any custom application.

The boards in the Petal ecosystem include:

NM180400

Petal Core

  • Host board for NM180100 LoRa & BLE module with Apollo3 Blue processor
  • Complete RF front end with multiple antenna interface connections
  • Instantly swap processor with code loaded between development and testing

NM180410

Petal Development Board

  • Plug-and-play development board with comprehensive hardware peripherals, Arduino-compatible breakout headers, and onboard tri-band pre-certified printed antenna
  • Single USB-C for license-free DAPLink debugging, VCOM, and mass storage device drag & drop firmware update

NM180420

Environment Petal

  • Stackable board enabling low-power Bosch sensor fusion for motion (BMI270 6-axis IMU, BMM350 magnetometer) and environmental sensing (BME688 temperature/gas/humidity/pressure)
  • Breakout connectors for off-the-shelf I2C sensors, plus fully customizable breakout connector with power and multiple communication interfaces

NM180430

Power Petal

  • Stackable power board with 3 variants for different battery types: rechargeable (secondary) lithium battery connector, non-rechargeable (primary) battery holder connector, and coin cell battery with onboard holder (for ultra-low-power, BLE-only applications)
  • Onboard USB-C connector can be used for serial communication, 5V power, and battery charging (for secondary battery variant)
